Pakistan – On Monday 18th Jan 2016, Pakistan lifted a 3 years long ban on Google's video site YouTube. It has been a result of Google launched a version of YouTube just for Pakistan. Google has provided guarantee to Pakistan authorities to filter out the banned anti-islamic content.
The ban was placed due to American-made short film shared on YouTube and it ignited an Internation protest including Pakistan. So called freedom of speech caused unrest to millions of Muslims around the world. The Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered ban YouTube in Pakistan immediately.
Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) sent notification to ISPs in Pakistan to unblock the site with immediate effect.
When the ban crossed 3 years, last week Google said it had launched a restricted version of YouTube in Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka, which means Pakistan Telecommunication Authority asked Google to remove certain content causing the issue.
Finally, when content has been removed from the local version authorities announced to lift the ban from YouTube.

So the long lasted boycott against YouTube and Google’s policy on specific content has now been lifted after Google propelled a nation particular form.
The Pakistan’s biggest telecom supplier (PTCL), likewise announce on their Facebook page. Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited Facebook is saying “Welcome Back YouTube”
Pakistan’s authorities and government had been in irregular chats with Google for quite a long while over the issue. Users in Pakistan has been using YouTube bypassing web services such as Proxy Servers and Virtual Private Networks.
